PRESS RELEASE (THE UNABOMBER)
In recent weeks there have been rumours circulating the international media that Theodore Kaczynski, the alleged Unabomber, and the MNK are linked in some form. With this press release we are attempting to clarify the situation. Beyond the media it will also be submitted to the US government, the FBI, and the British government.
The alleged Unabomber, Theodore Kaczynski, was involved with the Early MNK roughly twenty years ago in San Francisco, but he drifted away from the organisation in the mid-1970's. He is remembered as intelligent and articulate, but he was never a full time activist in our causes at the time. Maybe due to this, much of the famous Unabomber manifesto as published in the US press was appropriated from Early MNK writings that originated from various linked organisations. That said, in the past two years various central tenets have changed dramatically.
In some reports it was said that the Unabomber was directly financed and assisted by an organisation that sounds not unlike the present incarnation of the MNK. This may well have been the situation, but in no way did the real MNK knowingly offer any kind of assistance to the Unabomber's campaign. We do not have any information as to what organisation may have been helping him.
To conclude, although there are surface similarities in the campaigns of the MNK and the Unabomber, we strongly refute allegations that we were directly implicated with him. We also actively distance ourselves from, and are against, the vast majority of his hypotheses and his actions. Anyone with even a limited knowledge of our organisation would realise that our convictions would not be compatible with the Unabomber's philosophies.
