For some reason I put Snow Leopard on my home machine. Now Illustrator CS3 constantly crashes. What was I thinking?

So, the screen thing happened again. And I can see it via a VNC client on another computer. Does that mean it isn’t a graphics card issue?

…Not sure what to do now. Send the ‘faulty’ graphics card off… or cancel the whole exchange?
