The MNK send a letter to the Queen requesting a meeting. This letter is the first 'Communication Sheet'. I do not have a copy. This information comes from Communication Sheet 39. 14.10.94 Foundation of the modern MNK The MNK are founded on this day, although this is all that is known about this event. This information comes from Communication Sheet 39. 18.10.94 Graffiti on Donnington Bridge, Oxford, UK Today was the first day that I came into contact with the MNK. In the evening I was cycling towards East Oxford from South Oxford, and as I crossed Donnington Bridge I saw some masked figures leap from the side of the road away from where I could see them. As I cycled past I saw that they were daubing something on the tarmac of the road. It said: 'THE MNK WILL HAVE ITS REVENGE ON OXFORD'. It was a strange thing to witness, and for some reason it stuck strongly in my mind. This fleeting encounter led me to all my future research and investigations, not only into the MNK, but also the history of ideas and beliefs. I found the graffiti fascinating. In simplistic terms, what has Oxford done to bring on the wrath of the MNK? And in what form will we see their vengeance? To take the idea futher, the graffiti implies that the organisation is massive, or even omnipotent, because how else could something take revenge on a whole city? This idea was the seed that slowly led me onto investigate theories of secret societies and conspiracies. It is also worth looking at Communication Sheet 3, and the article on the MNK in First Word magazine which also discusses the Donnington Bridge graffiti. 19.10.94 Communication Sheet 3 published This is an official MNK account of the events of the 18.10.94 (see above). 24.10.94 Communication Sheet 5 published This is an MNK statement about 'magic', and the various names given to it over thousands of years. This has relevance when thinking of their more esoteric and occult aspect. This Communication Sheet is discussed in MNK Theory. 2.11.94 Defacing of National Lottery hoardings The MNK graffiti an advertising hoarding on Cowley Road, Oxford. Originally it says: 'It Could Be You - The National Lottery', but the MNK change it to: 'It Could Be You - MNK'. It seems that they are saying that you can be part of the MNK, and that to do that is better than getting involved with The National Lottery. It was a potent piece of graffiti because it predicted the cultural importance that the National Lottery would have on the country, and it rode the wave of publicity that came with it. It was particularly impressive because nearly all the hoardings advertising the Lottery in Oxford were eventually adapted by the MNK (see below). For further information look at Communication Sheet 6. 3.11.94 Communication Sheet 6 published This is an official MNK account of the events of the 2nd November 1994 (see above). 6.11.94 Defacing of National Lottery hoardings The MNK graffiti two advertising hoardings on London Road, Headington, Oxford. See Communication Sheet 8 for details. 8.11.94 Defacing of National Lottery hoardings The MNK graffiti two advertising hoardings. One on Cowley Road, Oxford, and one by the Oxford British Rail station. See Communication Sheet 8 for details. 11.11.94 Communication Sheet 9 published This is a press release that describes the actions of the MNK and their reasoning. It seems to be aimed primarily at people and publications that would be sympathetic to their cause. 6.11.94 Defacing of National Lottery hoardings The MNK graffiti one advertising hoarding on Cowley Road, Oxford. See Communication Sheet 8 for details. 15.11.94 Communication Sheet 8 published This is an official MNK account of the events of the 6th, 8th and 14th November 1994 (see above). 17.11.94 Communication Sheet 11 published This leaflet was handed to me in London at Leicester Square Tube Station. It is a typically polemical statement that suscintly touches on ideas expressed fuller in the longer Communication Sheets. 23.11.94 The MNK 'come into effect', a second letter to Queen Elizabeth II, and press releases to the media. Look at Communication Sheet 12, 13 and 14. The Sheet is discussed more fully in MNK Theory. 24.11.94 Communication Sheet 15 published This is a message to the artist Anthony Gormley, congratulating him on his winning of the Turner Prize in 1994. Why the MNK should do such a thing is a mystery to me. Could Anthony Gormley have some relationship with the MNK? 2.12.94 MNK telephone kiosk card Whilst spending a day in London I come across amidst the usual tatter of prostitute and phone sex cards in a Soho telephone kiosk, this MNK card (which I assume to be Communication Sheet 7). It is a rather bizarre piece of MNK advertising that looks exactly like a prostitute card. Is it aimed at the same 'kind' of people? The phrase used on the card, "Enjoy the unthinkable", almost sounds like the language of the fantasies of the porn industry. It then goes on to use a phrase repeatedly used by the MNK: "Adventure, magic, freedom", implying a kind of mystical release.
